General questions

Where do Discover Fiji day cruises depart from?

Every cruise departs from Port Denarau Marina on Denarau Island, Nadi, Viti Levu — about 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport and 5 to 15 minutes from the Denarau resorts. Check in at the marina 30 minutes before departure.

How much does a Fiji day cruise cost?

From-prices range from FJ$139 to FJ$259 per adult across the 7 cruises, with reduced child rates. A small fuel surcharge is payable at the check-in counter on some cruises.

Are hotel transfers included?

Most full-day cruises include return coach transfers from Nadi, Denarau, Wailoaloa and many Coral Coast hotels. Half-day and sunset cruises usually cover Nadi, Denarau and Wailoaloa only — confirm your hotel when you book.

Which cruise is best for families with young children?

Island day trips such as the South Sea Island Cruise and Malamala Beach Club suit families best: short crossings, shallow lagoons, shaded seating and lunch included. Children under 5 usually travel free.

What should I bring on a Fiji day cruise?

Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a light cover-up, a camera and cash or a card for the bar and optional activities. Snorkelling gear is provided on island cruises.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Cruises operate in most conditions. If the operator cancels for weather or sea safety, you are offered an alternative date or a full refund. Mamanuca crossings are sheltered, so departures are rarely cancelled.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure are generally refundable; inside 48 hours or on no-shows, cruises are non-refundable. Individual cruise pages list the exact terms.

How far in advance should I book?

Book at least 48 hours ahead, and earlier from June to September and over Christmas and New Year when island days and beach club passes sell out.

Do I need to be able to swim or snorkel?

No. Life jackets and flotation aids are available, guides supervise snorkelling, and every island has shallow lagoon areas plus glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible options on selected cruises.
